Sky Dragon is located on the top floor of Dragon City Mall right in the heart of Chinatown, but for some reason, it had never crossed my radar. I went to Sky Dragon for the first time in November, and then returned with Michelle for a second visit earlier this month.

I was exploring our new area with Michelle when we came across Lam Kee BBQ Restaurant tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. I was hoping it would be a good alternative to trekking all the way to Chinatown, but on the other hand, I was hoping not to have such a good temptation within walking distance from home.

I came across Pho Mi Gia Phung by searching the FourSquare and UrbanSpoon apps on my iPhone. A lot of the FourSquare tips spoke highly of the food so it seemed like a safe bet. And when more than one of the tips mentioned a patio, it sounded even more like a great choice on such a hot day.

We've made several visits to Albert's recently – the service hasn't changed much over the years but the food is fresh, very delicious and super tasty. It's affordably priced and you definitely won't leave hungry.

For the August long-weekend, Michelle and I went to the Thousand Islands. Rather than eat fast-food from some chain, I wanted to eat somewhere local. Milano Pizzeria wasn't our first choice, but most places were closed on Sunday.

Michelle and I recently went to Da Maria and ordered some take out. We hadn't been to Da Maria since mid-2006, but the food was definitely as good as we remembered.

La Carnita

I had been hearing about La Carnita's pop-ups on Twitter for almost a whole year but was never able to make it out to a single one. Now that they've settled into a permanent location on College Street, I was finally able to get a taste of their food and see what all the fuss was about.
